Looks like it's time for the job hunt to begin, I'm unable to grow with my current company and just feel like it's time, I'm at an impasse though, I'm supposed to attend the TCEA conference in February (It's already paid for) it's a beneficial conference that I think would be an awesome opportunity to attend. What would your advice be?

Honestly, a job hunt at this time of year could easily take until February, so start looking and plan on attending.

I'm a firm believer that you should always be hunting. A good company recognizes that their responsibility, as an employer, is to make it so you stay with them. They invest in their people. When companies don't invest in their people, their people rarely invest in them. I know that you had posted about the Google certifications that you currently have, so you have a good foundation, as well as on-the-job experience. And you are in Dallas, which means you are in one of the best places in the country to be in IT. Given you have a job, you can also take your time to hunt.

@leahcrowell22 , I know your exposure to IT is somewhat limited, but a great place to get in, if you can, is an MSP/IT Outsourcer. If you want to get a lot of experience, in a short period of time, that is the way to go. The reason that works too is that you should be able to get at least what you make now, and you will gain exposure to a lot of the field (more with an IT Outsourcer vs an MSP but still) and that is beneficial because it helps you figure out what direction you want to go.

I would read up and take some time to figure out what my dream job is and what I need to do now to get there. I would suggest reading "Do Over - Rescue Monday, Reinvent Your Work, and Never Get Stuck" by Jon Acuff.
Put some "money" in your career savings account. Who have you invested in lately? Right now you have a job. If you leave, is there someone that would want your job? Is there someone that could slide in to your job and not leave your employer stuck? That would be a win win situation.
You never know who it is that may help you make the connection to your dream job. Get out there and help some people and ask that question "Is there anyone that you know that I should know?"

Honestly, a job hunt at this time of year could easily take until February, so start looking and plan on attending.
I'm with Jared, Job hunts typically take a long time, especially if you are looking for something better rather than looking to take "anything." So start hunting, see what is out there and start practicing your interview skills. If you find the "right" job before then, just schedule to start in March. Jobs rarely require you to start immediately. Once they have their right candidate, waiting is rarely a big deal. They have to plan many months for looking for someone so they have to be flexible already.
