I came across this at a client site today . I was so impressed I had to stop to take a picture. Looks like they were going for water tight flexible conduit.

Every single response was unprofessional and filled with intentional FUD to try to make their own insecure, hubris-filled decisions seem justified.

Not one used logic or gave reasons. Just BS misdirection and refusal to think and do their jobs.

This was a great read 🙂

This time its me.......I need shooting

I've been experiencing poor speeds in the evenings for over a month. Complained to ISP etc, running speed tests. In the master socket etc. Check the obvious stuff on the router etc.

So cleared my cache for another reason this evening re-logged into the router and noticed the IP count was at 100+ I only 6 or so devices in the house. Then realised the "remote management" was enabled.......Doh!!!!!!!!!
Disabled and now speeds are ok oooooops

You know what's unheard of? Getting Microsoft ads on the Microsoft website...

I mean, somebody should invent an ad blocker or something....

Well it wasn't that anyway. Speeds dropped again. So email in the morning but really strange results.

Test from the BT wholesale site shows 60-70mb. All others like uswitch speedtest.net only 5-8mb ..... Confused and only for like 2-3 hours the all speeds fine.

                          In other news:

Are you expecting a bonus or raise this year? Based on our BS poll system you're IT budgets won't increase, do you think your paychecks will?

Um... yeah no trickle down economics do not work.

                          Great poll!

Raises should always be at least 2% per year. If not for job related reasons, then for cost of living increases.

Honestly, if you don't get 3% a year then you are losing money.

Yes, but 2% should be absolute minimum. If you can't get 3% or more, then time to move on.

For me every raise I have ever gotten in the last 10 - 15 years, my health insurance has always gone up about $5 more.

Not quite... If my raise would have let my pay check go from $100 take home to $140 take home... My insurance would go up $45, and leave me with $95 take home.

One of the reasons I left my last job. What sucks is that this job is starting to do it too. :@

Dur dur dur I need to stop software installation via GPO and I need to block torrents using GPO because management sucks and won't do their job, and they don't want the users to know what is going on so I can't do this via a firewall?

Ok dumb ass, firewalls don't need to report to the user that something is blocked, they can just stop traffic.

Oh and your management teams suck, have them enforce policy rather than having you come up with some gimmicky approach to trying to block content piracy.
