XenServer: Backup & Replication

Why can't we get a simple & concise guide to external logging? Because XS isn't up and running in the NTG lab yet and no one else is actively working on it to completion. Well, I am. But can I borrow your brain for the next few days, haha.

That is still up in the air, I've been working to get a good, searchable solution in place and haven't been able to complete anything. Up until now logging has gone directly to the USB without issue. @BRRABill @DustinB3403 What do both of you plan to do regarding "logging + USB"? Still working on it. My goal is to get it to boot off USB, log externally, and write nothing to the USB.

OK, when I get in today, I'll look at the logging mechanisms, and post to the other thread I have going.

What was the resolution with your thread. Didn't you post something about this like last week?
-
 @BRRABill I did, the solution I was looking at I never got to complete.
-
 @BRRABill @DustinB3403 What's the latest info/news/update?
-
 @FATeknollogee said in XenServer: Backup & Replication: @BRRABill @DustinB3403 What's the latest info/news/update? Oh wow this topic, I got graylog working for the log rotation from my hosts. Use Xen Orchestra as your backup appliance.
-
 @DustinB3403 No more logs written to your USB, 100% logs are going to graylog?
-
 @FATeknollogee Yep.
-
 @DustinB3403 Did you document that somewhere & I was just asleep at the wheel?
-
 @FATeknollogee No I didn't, just followed the information that was already available.
-
 @DustinB3403 said in XenServer: Backup & Replication: @FATeknollogee No I didn't, just followed the information that was already available. Wait...did you get it to work on 6.5? The last we talked you did not. XS kept overwriting your config file.
-
 I assumed we "are" talking about 7.0?
-
 @FATeknollogee said in XenServer: Backup & Replication: I assumed we "are" talking about 7.0? Yes, it works on XS7. @DustinB3403 was running into the same issues I was on 6.5. There is dicsussion that some other process is changing it back, but we have not started to troubleshoot that. (I no longer have any XS6.5 boxes here.)
