That's the problem with not having coffee, you lose the ability to remember what's wrong.

Just got good news. Finally closing on some recreational property we bought last year. Took FORVER to get all the paperwork together on the seller's side (swear they were doign it themmselves or their lawyer was a family friend). Closing sent for next week.

Waiting for new Azure services to deploy, all freaking afternoon.
Makes me appreciate DigitalOcean and Linode even more.

Here I was annoyed by a "can you look at this AP" tonight when I thought I'd be headed home.
Hope it gets fixed quick!

Was trying to have morning coffee but the band that we saw last night we are trying to meet with this morning to see if we can book the for our new bar which has space for live music, many times bigger than the venue from last night, so I have to run across town to meet with them.
-
Have a local wedding to attend this afternoon. I know very few details so far.

I'll take a server outage all day over the thirty minute ticket beating... like really?? You expect a ticket to be closed the SAME DAY as it's opened... on EVERY Ticket??
Better hire more people.

Mistakes were made Friday when I left work - I didn't grab my laptop charger, but I grabbed my Laptop with a full battery.. After a weekend of helping with 10 minute calls / etc - I woke up to about 2" of snow - a van that doesn't drive well on dry streets- I'm not comfortable driving it 30 minutes across town in snow plus not being able to leave the neighborhood, and not enough gas in the "safer vehicle" from running around for everyone while they were out of town.
Opted to work from home today noticed laptop was down to 50% and thought I should plug it in... Oh well. Lesson learned I suppose - always grab the charger.

And people think I'm crazy when I talk about why I don't like employees using laptops in lieu of having an always there home office. This simple stuff that we all do.

Mistakes Happen, I'll just have to make the best of it or use more sick time.

Yup, that's specifically why I don't like relying on laptops, mistakes do happen and having employees depending on a single laptop, that has to travel (which is risky), and needs extra parts to go with it (also risky) instead of two desktops that don't move (or a desktop at one and a laptop at the other that rarely moves) doesn't take into account mistakes, theft, accidents, etc. Accepting that mistakes are normal, I think it makes laptops a lot less an ideal solution than people assume because most people treat the comparison as if both have no mistakes.

or a potentially much cheaper option - assign the employee 2-3 charges - one for desk at work (often a docking setup of some type), one for home - and it stays there - and one for the travel bag.
-
@dashrender till said employee leave one on desk and the one in there travel bag in conf room and no idea where they put the one we tod them to leave at home (Then calls me asking for what to do at home without a charger)
