Any advice (other than leave the job - I've applied to a few places and plan on calling to follow up later today. ) on setting up this Server 2016?
Is there something specific about which you have questions? Or just general 2016 setup questions?
It's old Windows guidance to use a server for 10+. Today we generally say 12+, but it's not a crazy number.
general 2016 setup question.
It's not about users in this case though (even though the manager is using that as an excuse to do things the correct legal way) - it's about the requirements to host an application shared to other machines - RIGHT?
Really, Just never did a full Sever 16 setup before so just wondering what to expect to run into, Things to Make sure I change/do etc
and to host an application shared on other machines. It's just Windows. No different than Windows 10 for your use case.
Since we don't have any more useless posts that add no value - let me add one...
Seems like we have a lot of those
For the next 10 days, not so much I guess
why such an exact number?
How would one pick an inexact number?
well I'd say:
(fill in the blank)
For the next _______________ 10 days, not so much I guess.
Approximately..
Maybe.
Potentially.
Possibly..A ban is a ban.. I mean and admin could say - the ban is some random amount of time from 1-20 days, I'll roll a dice daily to see if they are allowed back.. but that would just be crazy.
I understand that - the question i was getting at was "How does Dash know the exact amount of days - He's not an admin of ML.. atleast to my knowledge"
Because and admin told us, in another channel.

Looking at upgrading some of our Unifi AP's to HD model.
-

@jt1001001 Yeah had the email this morning.
Looks like a little stick thing to help cover multiple rooms.I'm covering a whole office or warehouse hence the AC-HD's
Does mention on the page the "Dream Machine"???? What's that?

https://unifi-flexhd.ui.com/The page shows someone placing this on a table - LOL... like anyone actually has ethernet in the middle of their breakfast table.

https://unifi-flexhd.ui.com/Not super exciting, it's basically just another Unifi AP. But the neat thing is that it is not flush mount, so you can put it in a lot of different locations. And it is indoor / outdoor which is nice and flexible.

I suppose the additional option is nice. Though ceiling mounting it - really? versus a flush mount model?

What they are showing is that it works for pole mounting, or table/shelf mounting.
Basically it is just a new form factor.

In a conversation with co workers about star wars and my Micro Manager said "I don't think you were watching many movies when star wars came out.. so we can't really have this conversation about generation gaps.. "
I think that's about as close to an intelligent answer I've gotten from him.. -

I just wish they would finally integrate LDAP auth in their software

They specifically have a ceiling mount option as well. I understand the table/shelf mounting, but not the ceiling one.. they could have just left that one off.. but there will undoubtedly be someone who just wants to have type of unit for whatever reason, and they'll want ceiling mounts as well.

I think that's about as close to an intelligent answer I've gotten from him..WHAT? You're definitely old enough for the prequels - sure not the originals - hell, most in this forum were barely alive when the first movie came out in 77. I was 1.5 y/o, Scott was younger, Jared was a bit older, maybe 3. I barely remember seeing RTOJ in the theater... My love for star wars definitely came mostly later.

@Dashrender I saw return of the jedi in theater with my dad. Think I was like 9.

I saw it with both of my parents, when I was 6, on release day at the Cineplex Odion in Toronto. I still remember the audience cheering every time a main character came on. It was very influential in my hatred of movie theaters and how much their ruin the serious movie experience.

Now that's hilarious!
The communal experience is one of the reasons I go to block buster movies... Granted - they are mostly bubblegum movies.. but for me, it's part of the experience.
