@valentina I hear you, especially after all my tacos this weekend in san antonio. I had bbq, nopale and egg, chorizo....just yum lol. I did have it in my mind to go up to the register and say "yum install BarbacoaTaco" but I didn't because I figured I would be the only one laughing as I went back to my table.
I'd laugh at you and say install it yourself. You for got sudo….
One of my favorites.

it's barley 8:30 in the morning and I'm already fed up with today.
It's getting better every minute, because it's one minute closer to quitting time!
ha yeah, fair enough, but Im just ready to be home.
If you got the sick time -- burn it, that's what I do, lol... I just call it a mental health day.
Edit: Seriously get to feeling better / happier.
Oh i feel fine. Just dont want to be here today. I've already burned my sick time i think.
Maybe its time to look for other work.
If you don't wake up wanting to be there, then why are you there?
It's just today, Usually im fine and i love being here, Just today has me not wanting to be here.
Is all. -

I get to drop my care off at the dealership because of mechanical issues over lunch. That's how my morning started
Mine started with my boss coming back from being out with the flu - and then I ask questions on things I don't know about and got ignored and talked over, and told that I was completely wrong.
as @NerdyDad said this also goes with why Im done with today already .
I have always believed in this saying : People don't leave companies based on the work, they leave based on the management
I love what I do but my direct manager doesn't seem to want/nor care about me growing with the company - Which is why I've been passively looking for other employment options -
@WrCombs That happens to everyone. When it happens to me I try to shift focus and do something different for the day and that helps me.

that's basically what I've been doing.
I stopped worrying about that and went on to watching my videos on the new software they want me to lead.
Great mind think alike. -
@WrCombs Yeah thats what you have to do. That was me at my previous job, working with an AV company. Management actively tried to prevent you from learning more on the job. I had to buy books and watch videos and slowly piece together how to do things above my position and it took a long time to get there. It totally should not have.

@WrCombs Yep yep!

That's exactly how I feel I should be.
However when I put it out on here I get back lash about how I need to leave my employment ( which I agree I'm still looking for better things, but for now -) because I shouldn't show initiative in learning on my own.

I think you must have misread something. When has someone said that?

You've given backlash about what im during here since the beginning.
I've been told that getting Vm's was stupid because my boss doesnt seem interested in my expansion with the company and that Im wasting my time learning here and should be out doing other stuff - atleast how you always present it . -

I've been told that getting Vm's was stupid because my boss doesnt seem interested in my expansion with the company and that Im wasting my time learning here and should be out doing other stuff - atleast how you always present it .Correct. But none of that is what you just said that I said. You said we discouraged learning on your own. But then you said something totally different is what I said.
I've encouraged you to learn valuable IT skills on your own, and to move on to a good employer. That's totally different than what you said that I said.
What you need to do is not learn skills that are nearly worthless and focused solely on the value to the current employer, but rather on skills for your career.

But while I'm working at my Current Employer these Skills are Valuable
And We weren't talking Valuable IT Skills when I said
"... Because I shouldn't show initiative in learning on my own"
We were talking about In general about how Me learning things here get backlash based on You're Opinion that these are not Valuable skills -

I understand that position.
Like I said earlier, I am infact passively looking for other means of employment.

Sure, to them. Not to you. So learning them hurts you. That's the point.

Right, but you felt that "learning for that new job" was being discouraged. It is not and never way. In fact, it is wasting effort doing something else that takes away from that that is being discouraged.
You are perceiving us discouraging the very thing we are promoting.
