@hobbit666 Your don't drill or put screws through your waterproof boxes.
It should have a grommet and or a seal that you can feed your cables through. As for "mounting" it I would just lay it in the box.
Once the box is affixed to a wall it shouldn't be moving around and then there should be no concern of damage to the equipment inside of the box.
(if the equipment is damaged, you likely have other damage to deal with surrounding the box).
Problem is, someone's placed a DVR for CCTV in and it fills the box. So when you remove the lid like someone did to plug in the mouse/keyboard to change settings. It fell out and broke the HDMI cable lol.
Just wondered if/how to "mount" the equipment correctly
TL:DR don't let morons do the work

Aren't these toughswitches just a few pounds? Use some 3M Command Strips on the inside of the box. Won't go anywhere.

I probably would use a box that has mounts for zip-ties and strap it in, this particular box doesn't appear to have that though.
It looks like it has some kind of screw-fixture, but I'd be careful.
-
@DustinB3403 - Yeah i'm going to replace the HDMI and just say off you go for this example.
In future all departments have been told anything that needs network connections or will be connected to WiFi (as we know it'll be us that goes to fix it) must be approved by us and shown what things will be mounted and what.@coliver - That was an example as it was next to me

Got it. As @DustinB3403 said many of them either have build in mounting locations or they provide zip tie loops for things that can't be easily mounted.

Wondering WTF is wrong with Toshiba phone system programmers. http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/tsd/tech/soft_strata/cix/Network_eManager_Windows_10_Installation.pdf
So much NO, DON'T DO THAT!

So much NO, DON'T DO THAT!
The real question is, "what is wrong with customers who keep buying those systems and justifying what the programmers have been doing?"

The system just works for them. They don't see the need to change. Would have them on hosted with @ntg or @Bundy-Associates if I had my choice.

Exactly, so you just answered why the programmers do what they do. Because it is what the customers' want.

Apparently they want to pay for a couple of days just for me to get the management interface working. Fine, have it your way. I have the email confirmation

Wouldn't it benefit Microsoft to simply not allow this kind of thing to occur, since Microsoft themself says "you have to buy a server license" to do this?
Instead, let's just give Windows 10 the ability to do it all and then piss and moan when people don't purchase a license.
. . .

But then they wouldn't sell as many Server licenses during an audit, and that would hit their pocketbook.

But they actually would (it would just be at the outset), and it would simplify the entire process. If your desktop isn't capable of doing something (because the functionality doesn't exist) then people would just purchase server and CALs and never have to worry about an audit.

The code bases are so similar I'm not sure what it would take to put that kind of limit on the desktop OS.

Oddly I wouldn't think it would take much. As large of a company MS is, they could easily handle that.

Honestly I don't think they care - sure, if the SBA catches someone, make them pay, beyond that - nah... that lack of real caring is what allowed MS to kill Novell. Novell was a complete lock down on licensing, no provable license - no access.

That's the likely true part.

@hobbit666 It's the new version, it has a few new features. Like "A new post has been made, click to refresh" at the top of whatever page you're on.
