Installing Fedora/cinnamon on an old laptop for m,y 7 year old to watch youtube on
Nice. I have an old laptop that my daughter use for Netflix and YouTube/YouTube TV. Big fan of you using Fedora GNOME 3 or Elementary OS.

Drinking at Captain Katanna's in Melbourne FL. @IRJ if you're on Merritt island, stop by and have a drink with us!
When you coming back? Macon is about 45 minutes out for me, depending on where you're heading.

I installed the Elementary desktop on my laptop and it's pretty cool. I did wind up switching back to Cinnamon though.

Customer dropped us and decided (because they are into "buying" their way out of problems rather than knowing what they are doing) to rip out their UBNT gear and go with something without telling us. I'm guessing SonicWall based on other factors. And now, surprise surpise, their phone calls don't work. But instead of admitting what they did and asking logical questions, they instead ask "what ports need to be open" as if you can "open ports" for scores of phones. Clearly they don't understand how to manage the IT process, nor how basic networking works, nor how to put in a ticket. Something tells me this is going to be a long road ahead for their new "IT Manager" who specializes in "replacing outsourced services."
Sonicwall and their Consistent NAT setting...
Sonicwall makes life s***, trying to simplify all the features makes it impossible to figure out unless you've used the things for forever already. Give me a simple router and leave the rest of the network services where they should be!

Shit, just saw this a couple of hours ago. The weather across S Ga was crazy today, we were totally tunnel vision focused on getting home safe. Hope you're up on some high ground, the flooding is real.

Yikes! We saw a bit of rain over the last few days, no flooding or anything like that in our area. (About an hour southeast of Macon). I don't blame you for tunnel vision for getting home safely at all.
Weather around here changes about as fast as my kiddo flips a light switch.

Just fixed the Company LED Christmas tree, someone was so kind to rip the cable in-half from the plug that fed the top half of the tree. So I had to make a small extension cable and wire it back together.
And got a user workstation backup and running. No video signal.
Time for Coffee.

fixing server that hung on updates; why server 2016 has update problems I have no idea

Morning everyone. Just updated our 2 powerbi users
-
user gah!
Was asked to check her login over the weekend, didn't. Now can't login. Doesn't answer phone, and can't get to her email. We're trying everything to help you here, we can't magically make it better without being able to contact you. -
Morning everyone.
