You have greater visibility not greater reaction time. Reaction time is from the stimulus to to the response. Your reaction time will be diminished because of the divided attention as well as something in the hand if steering input is needed.
In 15 years of being the primary investigator on more fatal car crashes than I care to remember, I have just seen way too many dead bodies because of things like this. Every member here is valued and I don't wanna see any of them get hurt.

Backups are easy, just because nobody has already scripted everything for you.... I'm working on putting something together, but don't expect it soon.

That's all available already, just normal file level backups. You just have to do some scripting to create a snapshot before doing the backup and remove it after.

I guess most of us have been spoiled with Veeam and assume it should all be easy.

I have no problem with paying for backups.

When creating a snapshot, would it be best to pause the VM first and then create snapshots and then resume?
