@gjacobse Outdoor. Comparing dome and bullet. Problem is there are too many choices. Looking at Axis now and found their Companion line BUT they require proprietary Axis recorder and not ONVIF compliant.

That is a bit of an issue... like you, I need to find an outdoor camera - good field of view, PoE, and open file format... I've been looking at the UBNT line,.. as I have looked at SPECO - but just can't figure out what I want.

@gjacobse I just installed 7 Unifi G3 Dome cameras Sunday for a client and was impressed with the image quality and ease of use. Now I am just exploring my options again. I will probably use Unifi at my house when I get motivated enough.

Dealing with Crestron issues again...

Wife's hard drive stopped booting to Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago. I attempted to use testdisk/photorec and, while they were doing the job, the physical setup kept failing. So, I connected her hard drive to my Fedora 26 laptop and it read the contents of the drive without help. I'm recovering the contents off of the drive and am trying to persuade her to go to Fedora 26 w/ Cinnamon with me.
The MBR on her Windows drive corrupted and we don't have any recovery discs because of the number of moves we've made between 4 years ago and now, they could have been lost anywhere. It might be a good time to say goodbye to Windows for us.
All she does is pay bills on the web with it and store photos on it when her phone gets full. She should be able to adjust to Fedora w/ Cinnamon just fine.

I recently went full Fedora 26 across the board. (except my Asus ROG, that won't run any Linux)

You don't need recovery disks for Windows. Just make a Windows 10 USB from the ISO on the MS site and boot to it.
Or as you prefer, switch her to Fedora.

Don't really have the money for another computer and I am already paranoid enough about Google. The phones are enough of Google in my house. I'll stick with the Fedora.

Building a configuration template for Yealink T42S. Inching closer to deployment :D.

Are you not looking for any SfB integration? The 42S doesn't support it, if you are.
-
@eddiejennings You never did remind me to post a sanitized config.

I have my girl friends mother on Korora and she loves it, way faster than windows 10 on the hardware she has.
I have to convert a laptop for my girlfriend as she doesn't like Fedora. ...

@JaredBusch Hey man! In your copious amounts of free time, I'm sure many of us could use a sanitized config for a Yealink T42S

Skype for Business isn't on our radar, but that's good to konw.

I didn't completely read the subject line and was thrown or a loop for a second, had to go back and read the entire subject line.
