Trying to correct people who keep posting about Steve Job's birthday today and how great he was for creating Apple and designing the Mac and iDevices.

People who talk about Steve Jobs piss me off. He was a brilliant marketer and as such, appears to have seriously fooled a lot of people. The confusion over what is marketing and what is IT has made me respect so many "IT people" so much less.

Rebuilding my web server on a new AWS instance.

That's the Amazon way. You rebuild rather than fixing. Check out Chef. Five instances are available hosted, for free. Would make this a trivial process.

I take a fair bit of pride in making my lunches; bake my own bread, get lavish meat and cheese and mustard and greens. While trying to be helpful someone threw them all out. I can't even be mad at her. Today is a frustrating day.
