Because it is complex and widely needed. So lots of people are dealing with things that appear as magic, to them.

Nice, where is the new office located?
-
@scottalanmiller Across town in Bellevue. Same city, just went from ~40 seats to ~200. Took over Concur's old space in the Factoria area.

Nice. That is a lot of growth!

Am I the only one that likes Yahoo Maps better than Google Maps? I've just started using it recently and like it better. It doesn't seem to have the updating glitches that Google always has.
Yahoo does maps? I guess it's no real surprise considering Google, Apple and Bing have mapping services.
I'll have to have a look at that. -
I had no idea. It's because I am using Firefox and that is the default search engine and sometimes I don't change it and it started taking me to Yahoo Maps and I was like "oh wow, Google fixed their maps... oh wait, it's not Google."
It is also much better about not using up all of the screen real estate for stuff that you don't need.

Just had a 20 minute conversation about EMF allergies, I think my brain is melting

It's not enough that we protect procure maintain and care for all the attendant equipment.
I just had a user ask why the network was "so slow". He had loaded up 50gb of personal photos into an offline sync'd folder. There was less than 50gb of space left on that whole server (primary production file server) and I caught it and stopped the sync with only moments to spare*.
I'm going to need a drink with lunch.
*the unexpected benefit of slow 100mbit LAN

How many ports are in your network? Being used?
-
@coliver At a guess, 200ish
Edit: I know what you're thinking heheh. Problem is they're not owned by the company I work for - they're shared. To upgrade I'd need buy in (and $$$$) from all stake holders.
