@scottalanmiller Thanks! So many things I want to do and learn. Just have to remember to approach things the same I do when eating an elephant.
Step 1: Find the elephant gun.
Step 2: Bring a big fork.

Two bites at a time goes much faster.

Just finished getting Korora 25 Cinnamon fully installed on Dominica's Yoga 2 Pro. Korora runs on there SO much better than Windows. No network issues, screen scaling is much better. It's pretty nice. I'm really impressed by how well it works.
Hmm guess I should look at it,.. had the impressing that Korora was non English...

Non-English? In what way? Most distros come in hundreds of languages.

Might have to make one or two.. just for (word moderated a lot) sake.
Please don't waste good vacuum tubes on crap like this. They are already way too pricey for us working musicians, and squandering viable tubes on some cosmetic BS like this is just wrong. If I call it "steampunk _______" can I get some of these excess, spare vacuum tubes that guys like this feel the need to piss away??? I'll give them a good home, in an amplifier, where they belong.

So find a new source? https://www.amplifiedparts.com/tube-factories There are plenty of working factories.

And 80-90% of them suck ass, as nearly all of them are in China. Seriously, no reason at all to waste a good vacuum tube on some cosmetic shite. My 80s tube amp will thank this guy to cease and desist. And so will all the starving, gigging musicians out there who may have to decide between meals for a week or two and fixing their amp to be able to play the gig.

I'm in the land of tubes here. Saw some locally made tube amps this past weekend.

That's "locally made tube" amps. The amps were probably UK made, but the tubes were local.

Russia / former Soviet countries are where the good tubes come from. Still. I'd love a whole set of Sovteks for my amp, but that costs some scrilla. But if you wanted to smuggle back a few 12ax7s..... or 6L6s....

I was definitely thinking that some tubes would be nice. I was always a Sonic Frontiers fan myself.

We were at a party this past weekend and all these people are like "why does anyone want our old tubes?"

Please get them and bring them back. Russian tubes are worth $$.

@RojoLoco - I had thought of build a HF Tube Amp, receiver and transmitter pair.... But the more I got into it,.. the more I said meh... not to mention GOOD quality tubes are expensive.
And then there is the Audio AMP I would love to have.... also tubes

All that stuff uses more expensive tubes than guitar amps, and those cost plenty. But I do plan on buying a tube amp or preamp for my music system at some point. Surround sound receivers suck for music (but movie watching is totally an immersive experience).

Drives and RAMs have arrived. Let the P2V party begin.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
Yesssssssssss!!!!! This means I'll finally have some things virtualized.
While virtualizing things is definitely good, don't use P2V. It's so horrible.

Enjoying my new book...
