What Are You Doing Right Now

Waiting for my new cell to arrive for GroveSocial. We decided to go completely mobile and not have a PBX or anything and be all IPhone based. So I ordered a IPhone 6plus (let's see if it even fits in my hand).

No matter your struggles with going mobile, always remember how crappy PBX's are and sigh in relief at having made the right move.

Wow you must have had a really horrible experience. I love our aka NTG's PBX. I spend my life on the system using it and administering on similar systems for clients.

@Minion-Queen 120 year old company had a PBX to match in a building that was "updated" with telephone wiring in the 60's

You should take a look at an Asterisk based PBX. Downright amazing how easy everything is.

@coliver I'm sure it's good, but I'm afraid I am a bit scarred from that experience. I'd be ok with never dealing with one again

Oh wow. Our system is one of our hosted ones. We host about 8 for clients all over the world. They are all on very new equipment.
The awesome thing for us is we are all over the world. So we can configure a phone here and send it off to whoever and they connect like they are in the next room. love it!

Working on setting up Alertra. The boss just confirmed that she wants it
-
Will be nice to get some data about MangoLassi performance from around the world. Getting a better feel for what different people are seeing.
-
@scottalanmiller Will you post some stats? It'd be fun to see
-
I think once the system fully populates we will probably publish the "overview" page publicly. The service that we are using provides that which is pretty nice. We have nothing to hide so it is nice to just have a "how are we performing around the world" page. Also gives people somewhere to go should the site go down.

Morning Joy!

Good morning to all..
Seems a busy day here in ML..
Hi @Minion-Queen -
Evening all
-
Good evening. Just got back from the bar to the hotel room.
-
Doing some Ruby on Rails stuff, thinking about maybe getting some dinner here sooner or later.
-
Doing some self-reflection. Got a job today. Back in NY less than a week and I got a job. Got an interview in the morning I'm keeping more to keep the door open to this place for the future than anything. However, I am going back to Staples and plan to have my old job back in about two months time...I can honestly say I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a job...maybe NTG around April 2013 but that's about it...

Congrats! That was a fast turn around.
-
Heading to bed. It's early here on the coast but trying to keep something resembling an east coast schedule so that I am functional when I get back. Only a few days left until I can see the family again. I see Loggly tomorrow evening for dinner and get a tour of their offices. Then Friday I fly home!

Yup, it was. It pays when you know people and have something of an amazing reputation...
