Watching my girls. Their mom is out shopping with her sister and the rest of the family is in the theatre (a separate building) watching a movie. So it is just me and my two little ones in the house.

Ready to spend the day honing my Ruby skills and hanging out with family. Our stress levels are way down today!

So the plan is, as if things ever actually go to plan, that we are living in Houston now, as of yesterday, but will be in San Fran with some regularity but we are going to be hopping around Europe most of the time! Our dream lifestyle is about to begin.

Just realized that a whole bunch of our posters are at a wedding together, that explains some of the quiet on top of it being the beginning of the Christmas holiday week here. Nearly everyone is traveling or with family starting today.

Looks like I will be in San Francisco with the family around January 24th. Not sure how long that I will be there. Probably about a month. That is the current thought.

Doing some hard core catching up on my blog tonight. One of the biggest blog catchup days that I have ever had, which is really saying something since I have been blogging for way over a decade now.

Today is a "work on my own" day. @dominica and the kids have gone over to her sister's house for the day, leaving me alone to actually get stuff done. Got lots of Ruby work to be doing and I am downloading Balder's Gate now. I only have my three year old laptop with me here in Houston at the moment so need a game or two that will work fine on that. Will be using the time here as a chance to catch up on some much older games.

Working through the Ruby on Rails Tutorial again. I went through it for the first edition but wanted to refresh and do it again with the third edition. I have not had a chance to really be working with Ruby for a while now but will be doing Ruby all of the time very soon so wanted to give myself a refresher and get up to date with the latest in Ruby and Rails technologies too. So that is one of my big projects at the moment. I am sitting at my brother in law's house working on this while the family is a few blocks away.
