And I'm still jealous...we had sleet all throughout the night, but nothing stuck, it's just cold and wet now sadface

Nothing but ice yesterday morning here. Looks like it is going to be warm again today.

It a stretch around 50 feet long of black ice this morning.... thank goodness for traction control!!!

I honestly can't tell if this guy thinks he is funny, is malicious and trying to hurt the OP or just a moron that should not be allowed in IT. I tried to post something that would make it clear that what he said was totally insane but would give him an "out" without making it confrontational.
-
Post was someone asking what RAID level was more reliable for his use case.

The ice in your area cause lots of power blips (I know this cause we watched a client have issues all day off and on).

Yep, I had some issues yesterday morning with my home lab. Thankfully everything is on a battery backup so nothing went down. My boss lives at a higher elevation and had 1/4" of ice on the road to get to town.

In before the kid doesn't take the hint and says he wasn't being sarcastic and he was being serious...

Exactly. I gave him an easy out and the benefit of the doubt. He only looks like an idiot or a troll if he chooses to.

"It was a prank bro"

That's what I treated it as. I'm honestly thinking that he might just leave completely. Giving him the full benefit of the doubt is a bit like trolling the troll.

I operate under the assumption that I'm almost never 100% correct so I like to prepare people for that when I make a recommendation or post anything. I think people respect honesty and I try to be as humble as I can be. It's easy to maintain relationships online or offline that way.

Be hold the power of the Schwartz-- I mean Google. Be hold the power of Google.

So I have an in person interview on Friday with the DoD contractor. I'm going to be there for two and a half hours. At 12 I'm having lunch with the team, then at 1 it's an overview of what the team does, and at 1:30 is a panel interview.
I've never had an interview where they gave me lunch.

Been a long time since I had one when they didn't. I've had them where we go to a restaurant. Some where a catering crew come in for it. Some they eat in the offices. All kinds of things.
Facebook: Eat on campus to show the campus stuff
Amazon: Walk to a restaurant in the neighbourhood
Change: Pizza at a house
BW: Catered lunch from a personal chefSome that I remember. I know one in Cleveland the whole team went to a lunch at a restaurant and did something like pizza. Nothing fancy but a good chance for everyone to talk.
