Newegg just added all these super expensive socket 2011 cpus...

To bad that motherboard is a proprietary form factor.

If supermicro really wanted to boost their sales, they'd have a cart right on their website... I mean come on, how else am I supposed to build this server, order from Newegg. Pfft!

Nothing some sheet metal, drill, nut-certs and some stand offs can't fix

True, but I want my servers to be sexy.
Not something bread boarded together, especially when I'm dropping 44G on the CPU's alone.

What, you think SuperMicro doesn't sell a sexy server chassis to go with those motherboards?

These companies that sell these supercomputers have websites that take you back to 1999. They look terrible, no cart functionality, and no mobile site.

When you sell stuff as cool neat and awesome as supermicro does you do not need a fancy pants website.

Remember that you don't buy SuperMicro gear FROM SuperMicro. Their site isn't for you, it's for their partners that you buy from. The cool websites are the ones that the SuperMicro builders have.

@scottalanmiller That was in jest scott....
I know you dont go out and buy from supermicro directly.

but SuperMicro doesnt sell gear to you. Only a handful of giant server makers can get their hands on SuperMicro systems. As a customer, you are unable to buy direct from SuperMicro, that's my point. It's not that you "don't", it is that you "can't". that's not how SuperMicro works.

For example, Seneca Data is one of the companies that can sell SuperMicro servers...
