What do you think of Webroot

I'll admit that our Mac version isn't as polished as the Windows version, but there is current work going on to improve it. If you do have problems on a Mac let me know and I can get you some help from the guy who specializes in Mac stuff here.
I just took it off and never reinstalled it.

I never tried. I could do that now and we can be testing it out.

Fair warning. Don't do it on your main machine.

I have 2 macs here in my office. GroveSocial operates completely on Mac.

@Breffni-Potter They will be at SpiceWorld London, so you can get a more thorough demo there if you're interested.
The problem is, product demos are always biased. They are there to show off their product and the demo I saw last night was good enough, I don't need someone to explain how it works when I can trial it.
The biggest thing is, are people using it, do they like it or hate it, if they hate it, then no product demo will ever fix that, if they like it, then it just confirms what I know.
You might be able to get hands on time with the console and see more for yourself on the admin side without actually having to install it.

Sorry about that - let me know if you want me to get someone to help you troubleshoot if you're wanting to try again.

Does webroot have a local Enterprise web interface for management and AD integrated deployment? Never used it in an enterprise (or outside of my old mac) environment. I'm running Sophos at home right now with their console on my UTM (mainly cause the enterprise version is free for home use)

I have never used it, but it does have one: http://www.webroot.com/us/en/business/products/endpoint/management-complexity/management-control.

They've already got a demo on their site, I've already been through it, Not much to demonstrate apart from showing how I turn on feature X. It's not a Symantec console.

I'm a big fan. Excellent product with excellent support.
Though, honestly, the mac version was crap when I uninstalled it. I'd rather have those 3 licenses back than to try it again.

Can I offer you some bubble wrap as a consolation?

I offer to build him a bridge so he can get over it. I'm just kidding...

I would like to vouch for @Nic and webroot.
I bought the home user edition last year for my PCs at home. I even had a free access to Sophos AV due to an agreement acheived with Sophos when we purchased the Enterprise Console. I have yet to use Webroot in a business environment, but I can tell you it is hands down the best client for home users. Its lightweight and it never gets in your way like other home AV products.
@Nic is a pleasure to deal with. He went out of his way a few times to help me with a home product. How many vendor employees will take 20-30 minutes out of your day to help with a low cost home product? I have yet to find one other than Nic. He isn't pushy at all. He knows the product will speak for itself once you install the trial.
