Weird Charging issue on Samsung Galaxy S5
-
The Samsung cable with Samsung wallwart doesn't work? Call Samsung would be my suggestion.
-
Most devices have a way of interrogating their charging source to determine what it's capable of providing. Sounds like some of your devices are not providing it correctly. Also make sure you're using an adapter capable of providing 2 amps @ 5vdc - that'll be enough for it to "quick charge"
Edit: I can't imagine how long it takes to charge through USB on a PC shudder <--- wrong, ignore

That connector is a USB 3.0 cable, I think it charges at 2-3 amps, which USB 3.0 supports.

Right, but the cable charges when plugged into a PC

Its the samsung one, and I have tried other bricks. It seems to be an issue with the cables
Lower gauge cables may not be able to take enough amps.

If the phone doesn't work with the equipment what came with the phone, I'd contact the manufacture, surely you're still under warranty?

I have similar issues with my S4 using non-Samsung cables. Never made sense to me either.
-
I contacted Samsung and they feel that its the cable or the charger. I dont feel that it is since I get same results with other chargers and cables, but they are telling me to bring my phone in to my local wireless store.

I was told they dont send out replacement chargers or cables. They only service phones.

Wow, that would be like Dell telling me that they won't replace my power cord while I still have a valid warranty. Even the batteries are normally covered for the first year by the warranties.
Sounds like another reason to bail on Samsung.
