CloudatCost Issues

@nadnerB Can you access it via either console or SSH at all?

I can't open the console (connection time outs) and I appear to have had very large memory utilisation 97% for I don't know how long (no monitoring software yet).
The panel doesn't show anything useful for memory utilization. It literally means nothing. There is no reason to believe you were using much memory.

It looks like it's back now, but it was up and running Zimbra. Now it says imaging failed and I have to image it again. odd. Oh well.
Have you tried clicking the Events button in the panel to see if anything odd shows there?
Servers that mysteriously reimage themselves is alarming. Anyone from there care to comment? @AmanBhogal? @charlie?

@Danp it didn't reimage itself just failed. I'm guessing due to the io issues, and needed to be reimaged. They likely can re-connect the virtual disk if you contact them instead of re-imaging it but I didn't care since its just testing.

I can now that I'm at home. At work, the ports seem to be blocked and because of our network setup, unblocking isn't going to happen

Install pending for 3 hours now.....

@Aaron-Studer install of what?

And again.....

@Aaron-Studer Why the constant rebuilds? Are you just trying out different OS's?

Different OS's, Applications, etc
I use many different VPS providers, and it looks like CloudatCost just isn't going to work for me.
Both Digital Ocean and Vultr re-build VM's in less then 1 minute, without error everytime.
I love the idea of one time cost, but clearly I was only dreaming. No many issues for the service to be usable.

Righto, well I guess not every service suites everyone

Re-imaging a VM is childs play. Really should not be an issue.
Both Digital Ocean and Vultr have free $5 trials. I think if you tried one of them, you would be amazed in the difference.

Free $5 trial? Sense this makes not. I'll have a look anyway I'm not complaining, I got my server for free.
Admittedly, I haven't done much with it yet. -

And it's worth everything you paid for it. Nothing.

Anyone else having issues access their panel?
-
@Danp It's down.

Yep, it is down right now. I can still access my site/VM for now though.

Checking....

It's slightly annoying that it has rebuild issues. But it's a pretty trivial thing since it only impacts you when it doesn't matter - when the system is already offline. You just give it a few minutes and re-image again if it fails. I've had to do it several times and reported to them about it and it is something that they are looking into fixing. But of all things, it's immensely trivial.
