      1. A way to specify at setup that you do not want their 7 day shutdown runmode.

The note on this is in the setup email, but I did not read it the first 3 times.

          Anyone else notice this?

          "What about bandwidth?
The launch special includes fixed amount of monthly data transfer. If you exceed 1 TB, we bill $0.01 (That's 1 cent) per GB for anything over the included amount."

I'm wondering if this means eventually they will start charging all of us for bandwidth. Also is that 1TB of bandwidth monthly or lifetime?

It says that it includes. So it sure sounds like the volume is included.

                Hey Guys!
                Aman from cloudatcost here

This is awesome feedback... this is exactly the feedback I love!

We are working on redesigning the website and I will promise you all that anything you guys are having issues with in terms of usability or even on the back end, we will definitely look at them and find a way to do it better.

I'm guessing if they are considering it a dev box why would it need to keep running all the time? Though instead of automatically setting this it should be one of the steps you walk through during the build.

@AmanBhogal This certainly needs to be more clearly mentioned. The setting is very obvious if you poke in your control panel at all, but the notice about it is buried int he bottom of the welcome email you get every time you reprovision your server.

Have you noticed the password is in plain text on a batch file used to setup the windows boxes on the virtual cd rom drive?

                          1. A way to snapshot your server, so that you can test changes and restore to a prior point in time.

I was wondering about that one too. That's a pretty huge feature. Snapshots and a simple means of transporting that snapshot offsite too (a simple download option is fine.) A snap and copy to another provider is great too (like "make a copy in S3.")

That is a big feature. Definitely would like to see that.

This would be a great add on feature.

Here's something that can be fixed. The word I circled should be "you're".

What about Upload your own temporary ISO? that might be asking for abuse though.

No cloud provider offers that that I know. It causes a lot of complications. It's a nice idea, but not ultimately very practical.
