DHCP-Client: Event ID 1103
-
This was just presented to me - not sure why they would be having issues, but the first thing I did was poke the Event Logs;
MIP Fund Account is kicking the users out about every thirty minutes. They are getting an error of “Your license seat is no longer active.”
Looking over the Event log didn't really seem like much until I started seeing DHCP-Client (Event 1103) coming up repeatedly... nearly every 30 minutes...
I've made the IP static in the DHCP server service of the firewall.. but thought I would share to see if there are any other options (other than adapter settings) which would cause this.
Server 2008 sp2
Seems this has been an issue for a few weeks.

Not sure that I understand exactly what is happening. Could your pool be exhausted?
-
Yeah, I'm confused as well.

What's the DHCP lease time?
Is there another DHCP server on your network?

@nadnerB Previous DHCP lease time was 3600 which was the default, I upped it to 36000.
Additionally, I set the server to static dhcp lease to see if that will resolve the issue. thus far the IP has remained the same, but I do see entries for the Event ID still.

Good Stuff
Have you checked the DNS to make sure that all the records are up to date and not stale? -
Sounds like your DHCP pool is exhausted and when the clients refresh they are getting a new IP (though that's not how I understood DHCP leasing to work - as long as your assigned address was still valid, and you're renewing you should get the same one issued back to you - I suppose the DHCP server could be making issued addresses as now invalid).
What are you using to provide DHCP now?
DHCP clients normally try to verify their DHCP assigned address at the half way mark - 30 mins is half of the original 3600 lease time, so it makes sense that it's related, what doesn't make sense is why your machine is changing IPs?
