What Are You Doing Right Now

I tried Portal and I find the idea intriguing and interesting but the game just didn't grab me. Not my kind of game, but I appreciate the design and understand why people like it. I was talking about it with my dad a few weeks ago and I could tell that it piqued his interest. When I saw it on sale on Steam I told him about it and he snatched it right up.

I'm with you @scottalanmiller . Portal isn't my game, but I can appreciate the concept and why people like it.

Watching Bewitched the movie. Surprisingly I have never seen this movie. This was something that I watched a lot as a kid.

For some odd reason ML has been having issues loading on my iPhone for the last fifteen minutes. Need to restart it, I suppose.
-
I was having issues most of the day where I couldn't get to the site from my work PC but I could still read it via my phone. It was a boring lunch break today.

So I've figured out that scented bodywash will be what kills me someday, or indirectly. That stuff is so dang slippery...almost died slipping in the shower last night. In the process of trying not to fall, I also somehow popped my weak left shoulder out of socket which I got to pop back in a few seconds later, but now it's really sore. Fun fun...

Had a quick sticky beak at some Flickr accounts today as part of my initial invesitgation. Not sure if I'd end up using it. Mainly because there is no app for Windows Phone. Thus making it less convenient.

@thanksaj Far too much information there.

LOL, there is NOTHING for the Windows phone! I forgot, lacking Flickr was a big reason that I didn't use it. Windows Phone claims to be the "photo phone" yet lacks the primary pro photo app. Fail.

Oh believe me, I can be much worse...
Yeah, I know.

Was apparently a pretty quiet night around here, managed to catch up pretty quickly. I think that we are into the holiday slowdown.

There isn't even a Google Drive app, why would there be a Flickr app?

The bigger question... why use Windows Phone then?

I pretty much never installed anything on my Windows Phone. It was pathetic.

Well, the by hangs a tale...
Mrs nadnerB and myself both had an HTC Desire each and they were dying slowly. They had done almost three years of service. Neither of us wanted to go on contract again as the cost to benefit was (and still is) bordering on daylight robbery. As we were going to be replacing both phones we wanted to buy an inexpensive but reasonable phone. Our budget was around $250 AUD each.
The budget ruled out the iPhone and the decent Android phones. So we were left with Landfill Android or a couple of Windows Phones. Initially I was hesitant as I didn't like how WP7 was (mis)handled. However there was never going to be anything decent in the price range for the foreseeable future.
Long story short we picked the Lumia 620. We were looking at the handsets them selves and not the environment that they plug into and at the time, the Lumia 620 was the pick of the bunch in that price bracket. It had a flash, it wasn't bulky, the build quality was good, it was responsive and the camera was decent (deal making/breaking thing for me).
At that time the app store was tiny and that hasn't changed very much but I don't use too many apps. I use my phone as a phone. I'm old school like that. The apps that I have are nice and all but I could live with out them, if I chose to.

My main gripe about the lack of Admin apps for Windows Phone is only really existant because the WiFi performance on my Transformer Prime (Android tab) is worse than
If that had better WiFi capabilities then I'd have no gripes about WP as I would have any App needs met elsewhere.

With my Lumia ICON, I've been on the Developer Preview and now up to 8.1.1 and it has been a fantastic experience and I do not find myself missing anything on my Windows Phone. Ready for the successor to the 1020 and I'll snatch it right up.

The Icon never made it here

Don't get me wrong, I still really love my Lumia 620
