Metered SIP calling

Obviously, I talk about metered SIP a lot.
Well, here are some real numbers from a client that uses Twilio. They went live at the end of June.
You can see they have a lot of inbound Toll Free, so I made a grouping to show costs without it.
Their prior service was Charter (Spectrum) 8 lines of POTS handoff at 25.98 each for a total of 207.84 / month.
This was not "unlimited" either. Their Long distance package was $187/month for 5000 minutes. Plus usage. Oh and they went over that every month.
I'll leave you to do that math. -
All the bits and pieces included now for comparison.
If you exclude June, the average monthly spend is $200.
The last full month of the two locations from Charter was $1000.You can do that math with your fingers if needed!

@JaredBusch Can you explain why their usage doubled from May to July, but then has slowly returned to their normal levels?
-
@Danp that is not what it says. So I cannot.

Ok... so maybe I'm interpreting it incorrectly. What is incorrect about the following analysis?
In May, they used 9850 minutes (5000 base + 4850 overage). In July, their usage jumped to over 21,000 minutes and then has slowly declined to the pre-SIP levels.

The package is 10,000 minutes. 5,000 interstate and 5,000 intrastate.
Local calling is not tracked.
There is no way to actually compare anything other than final cost.

@JaredBusch just taking this with a grain of salt, but the usage isn't including what they had to pay for the service. Correct?
So their total would be closer to ~$500/month, right?
-
Looking at phone bills is always a challenge for me, as I don't do it often enough. I think what @JaredBusch is trying to display is the savings of not having a "Service Fee" of $207.84 and usage charges on top of that.
With Twillo and pretty much any other sip provider the costs are almost exclusively just Usage, and the rate is generally way lower cost that your traditional phone service provider at a cost per minute.

Per site the average spend prior to this was ~$500, correct? And now they are spending ~$200 so it's a $300/month savings.
No?

Doesn’t work that way. There were two bills totaling $1,000. Now there is a single bill averaging $200.

Oh!! I completely misunderstood. So that's a much larger savings.
