Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse just became your must-see December film

3D-animated film piles on the insanity—yet wins with family, heart, and stakes.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is right up there with Black Panther and Deadpool 2 as one of the best comic book adaptations in theaters this year. What's more, it's easily the best comic-nerd film in years to warmly embrace the kinds of viewers who know their comics canon front and back, all without intimidating the inevitable kid and newbie viewers attracted to this incredibly family-friendly adventure.

I really want to see this. It has one of my favorite comic characters voiced by everyone's favorite terrible actor.

@coliver which terrible actor? I've not heard of anyone voicing this film.

Interesting - because it's animated - I have zero interest in seeing it. Hope you like it.

Holy crapspackle. I bet there will be plenty of new memes from that.

Most likely. The trailers already have some really decent meme-able content.

Just a gas explosion at least. Nothing worse at least.

Trump will replace Interior Department Secretary next week

Zinke leaves as a number of investigations open up into his spending habits.

Zinke's time in office was marked by a similar effort to stymie the environmental protections put in place by the Obama administration in the name of oil and gas interests. In one of his most controversial moves, Zinke reopened vast tracts of federal waters that had previously been off-limits to offshore oil and gas drilling. The secretary drew sharp criticism for opening up federal waters adjacent to states that didn't want offshore drilling, while exempting Florida from the same treatment after a meeting from the state's Republican governor.

California transit agencies have 21 years to build zero-emissions bus fleets

Buying gas or diesel buses after 2029 will be prohibited in the state.

In a press release on Friday, CARB noted that the transportation sector contributes 40 percent of the state's greenhouse gas emissions, and 80 to 90 percent of the state's smog-creating pollutants. "Full implementation of the regulation adopted today is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 19 million metric tons from 2020 to 2050—the equivalent of taking 4 million cars off the road," CARB wrote.

Sony inadvertently leaks player counts for PS4 titles

Personalized PSN videos and trophy data combine for massive data dump.

The leak centers on Sony's recent My PS4 Life promotion, which lets users generate a personalized statistics video for their PSN Gamertag. Amid some aggregate statistics and "total hours played" numbers for your favorite games, the video also lists your "rarest" trophy and, crucially, the precise number of PSN users who have earned that trophy.

IDK if I really care. Knowing how many people have heard an trophy does what exactly? What PII is exposed here?

I was kinda wondering the same - the general public probably don't give a shit about these numbers - though i'm guessing that game makers and advertisers on the platform might care about these numbers - though it's likely they already have them.

Exactly, and while the game makers may have this information. What is the risk of knowing the exact number? This kind of information falls into the "generally who honestly GAF?!" category.

Now if the exact numbers where tied to their account and their login name or email was exposed because of it then I could see an issue.

It’s either Sony’s Film or Gaming that keeps getting leaks.

Hyundai finally gives us a price for the 2019 Kona EV—$29,995

MSRP is $36,450 before the delivery charge and $7,500 IRS credit are applied.

Based on the internal combustion-powered Kona, it packs in 64kWh of lithium-ion to give it an EPA range of 258 miles (415km). On top of that, the little Kona EV also sported a rather nifty Smart Regeneration System that uses the car's cruise control radar to maximize energy recuperation when following other cars. The one thing we couldn't tell you back then was how much this EV would cost.
