Untangle Site to Site VPN Not Connecting

Two Untangle boxes, using OpenVPN app, site to site VPN. Used to work. In fact, I am told that it worked this morning. But it is not working now. The VPN connects, according to both sides, and I can ping the VPN IPs across the VPN it would seem. But the exported IP ranges for either side cannot be pinged (pung?) from the other side.
So it appears that something is wrong with the exported ranges, but nothing has been touched. We've restarted both ends of the VPN, and it goes down, then comes back up. But pinging still does not work.
Site A:
LAN - 192.168.2.0/24
Untangle - 192.168.2.1
Role: Server
NAT OpenVPN Traffic: Yes
Address Space: 172.16.134.0/24Site B:
LAN - 192.168.3.0/24
Untangle - 192.168.3.1
Role: Client
NAT OpenVPN Traffic: Yes
Address Space: 172.16.36.0/24 -
Did the default gateway change on one side? i.e. the return path is no longer valid?
Does the default gateway have a patch to the IP's on the other side of the VPN? Perhaps it did, but was lost during a reboot?

No changes at all.

is the Untangle box the default gateway?

Yes, on both sides.

Going out on a whim. If they purchased business licenses, did they expire?
Had this happen to me last month with client (they used another tech company).

We DID find last night that one machine had updated to a different version than the other. But the other is months behind but refuses to recognize that an update exists. Untangle claims updates are delayed to reduce server load and there is no option to control versions (basically... this is in no way a business product.)

Spending less money than continuing to waste time (money) failing to fix the existing piece of crap.

There is always a way to force the updates, I bet this are actual old workstations or servers with Untangle, otherwise they would have been in version 14.1... This is not way configured the same for updates on both devices..

Don't think so, looking at the hardware they looked like store bought Untangle commercial devices.

Nope, stopped spending money. They spent twice that cost of the new hardware in just figuring out that the Untangles weren't able to update properly and were no closer to a resolution. The cost of a one time Untangle support incident was $50 more than the cost of replacing BOTH devices (and we weren't sure if we'd have to pay double as there were two Untangle devices involved.)

Weird all around, but I understand
