      Is the firmware current on the phone?

        Has anyone used the WF40 wifi adapter with a T42S? The instructions say to plug in the USB adapter when the phone is powered on and it will prompt you to connect to a wifi network. When I do this there is no prompt. The phone is being powered by a power injector through the Ethernet port. I am not sure if that is the reason for not getting the prompt. Possibly you have to have a regular AC adapter for this to work??? There should also be a Wifi menu option under Basic Settings but that does not exist either.

        The T42S has always supported WiFi, from the first firmware for the model.

        The settings are found in the GUI here.

        I have no idea why the on screen menu is not working for you, but I would never try to use it anyway.

          @JaredBusch - I think the problem is because I have an Ethernet cable connected via the injector. I had purchased a poe injector to power the phone instead of the regular ac adapter.

            @syko24 is the PoE on "no network" or is there some network info coming from that port?

              Correct, the lan side of the injector is not connected to anything.

                  Dumb question, but if you're using a PoE injector, why not just connect an ethernet cord?

                    Phone is at user's home. They do not have a network connection in their home office. I was trying to use the WF40 as a wifi option. My next thought was to purchase a wireless bridge and then just connect the other end into the injector.

                      @syko24 ah well that's a good reason.

                        I figured, but wanted to be sure.

                          Are you able to test the adapter on any other phones?

                            No, the person's home is not local and she only has the one phone. I am probably just going to send her a wireless bridge and have her connect that. Eventually I will get the wifi adapter from her and can play around with it.

                              Slight thread hijack here but I was wondering if anyone used the Yealink BT40 adapter (bluetooth) for T41S/T42S phones and if it worked as expected?
