Why not? I'm not sure they don't want you to do it or surely they'd have disabled this function. I think their goal is to get as many people as possible to Windows 10 ASAP and they want to make it as easy as possible. If you've ever seen anything from them that says otherwise, please share because I still advertise this to people I know.

Why not? I'm not sure they don't want you to do it or surely they'd have disabled this function. I think their goal is to get as many people as possible to Windows 10 ASAP and they want to make it as easy as possible. If you've ever seen anything from them that says otherwise, please share because I still advertise this to people I know.
Just because it activates doesn't mean you should do it. Both Free Upgrade for General Availability and assistive technologies have expired so there really shouldn't be used.

Just because it activates doesn't mean you should do it. Both Free Upgrade for General Availability and assistive technologies have expired so there really shouldn't be used.
Now, it is up to Microsoft to actually enforce it.

If you are using uBlock with all the lists checked, you shouldn't see that warning. But

I can't get to a local news site on my cell phone or iPad when at home... damn ads. Turn off the WiFi and go cellular and it works fine...

the Pi-Hole is running, you sure that that is what you are using for your DNS? Check with nslookup
