Flights aren't the issue. The hotel cost is another issue altogether!

Yeah. And there is a zero percent chance that my employer will offset some costs.

Chicago was my trip for the year, so SW is out of the question for me. Boss and another coworker might be going though.

That's the way to do it. The year I went, I shared an AirBnB with 7 other people. The interactions within that little group were the best thing about going.

@wls-itguy last time I went the air bnb was about $100/night (and way nicer than a hotel room).

You're probably more likely to find a whole house in East Austin than directly downtown.
