Looking to ditch windows at work....

@tonyknobel This is a new fedora vm and I didn't have to add it. So maybe in older versions it was an add-on maybe?
-
@jmoore Could be. Mine started as 27, and I upgraded it to 28.
-
Yeah it appears to be a separate install according to documentation:
Microsoft Exchange: Available only if you have installed the Connector for Microsoft* Exchange. It allows you to connect to a Microsoft Exchange 2000 or 2003 server, which stores e-mail, calendar, and contact information on the server. For configuration instructions, see Remote Configuration Options.

On my Fedora box, I use Thunderbird and TbSync.
It works well.

So I just added this because of this thread.
On Fedora 28 + Cinnamondnf install evolution evolution-ews
-
Checking the Look up box here results in it selecting IMAP, but EWS is then available.

dnf install evolution evolution-ews
That worked for me as well! Thanks I spent a half hour trying to figure it out!
-
Now to figure out the URL, because I do not have anything setup on our domain (we use O365)
-
University of Wisconsin-Madison was the first hit on Google..

Once you click Fetch URL, it auto populate the OAB and then you can click the Check supported types in the Authentication.
-
Wow.. going to have to take some time to look at settings and stuff..
Do not like the expanded by default thread view.. I like thread view, just not expanded.. That is silly.
And the Defualt dark theme form Cinnamon makes this a little hard to read. IMO.
-
Here's what you get in Thunderbird wiht TbSync (O365:
Thunderbird:
Thunderbird footer: (click to open TbSync Account Manager)
TbSync Account Manager:
Bad color scheme is because of Cinnamon.

Dislike Thunderbird.

Looks better, but...
I like having tabs. If Evolution can do tabs, i'd use that instead.
Does that addon for Evolution also do contacts, calendars, and tasks?
-
@obsolesce I can see my tasks, calendar items and contacts (including global address list).
-
Can you show a screenshot of calendar and task view? If they are decent, maybe I'll give Evolution a go.
I just got used to tabs in web browsers and in Thunderbird... so not sure if I'll liek anything else.

Calendar

I dont see any option...
Sorry had an interview this afternoon so I've been away. I meant the GNOME online accounts not the evolution ones.

I am pretty sure on Exchange 2010, if you don't use IE11, you will be restricted to the lite version of OWA. You should verify that first.

No, in Linux OWA doesn’t work in normal mode with Chrome but in Firefox it works well. OWA on Chrome, Firefox and Safari in Windows and Mac OSX with Exchange 2010 works well.
