We've got @pchiodo scheduled to move from Windows to Fedora next week. Another Windows user being converted. Slowly, one at a time, I'll get everyone moved over
Start working on some of the many program developers ... as there are some programs that are only written for Windows,.. and the Linux 'version' is no where near the level of the developed Windows ones.
What do you mean? Linux is way ahead of Windows for development. If there is specifically one area that it blows it away, that's it.
Get me Project 1999 running natively on Linux, so I don't have to have a Windows license to play, then I believe I can be 100% Linux
Umm....
Ah. Need to give that a read. Also need to fix my misunderstanding of WINE.
I like PlayOnLinux for this. It has a few premade scripts for some games, and it generally simplifies the usage of Wine a lot.

Dominica is scraping a wall as we discovered termite damage (old, not current) behind the paint and we need to patch the wall and re-tape it before painting it.

So no examples then
I think you'll find, it's always people doing things on Linux that they'd never do with Windows, then thinking it is hard because they are trying to do something weird instead of trying to use it like a normal computer. Like using non-standard architectures, weird distros, niche software. Things that Windows either does horribly or not at all.

Just back from our third Home Depot trip of the day.

Comcast is STILL DOWN. This is insanity. I can't remember any ISP with outages like this. It's like they have running their networking infrastructure!

Way different , I wouldnβt compare it like that. Any one around that customer also down?

Down Detector shows half the country down for Comcast, and certainly an outage centered right on top of them.
This is a completely standard pattern for this customer. This is the four or fifth time in the last few weeks. Totally expected. Just a little longer than usual.

There are a few - but it isn't a point I feel the need to beat on.

I assume they then donβt another ISP available to them.

@dbeato Stressful month all week today.. sigh.
I now smell like Grilled Hamburgers and dogs... Because - it's what's for dinner..
Now to get back at the work... ugh.. IT is fun, but could seriously use some down time. Even been thinking of activating the local park for POTA- Parks on the Air (ham Radio)
Also managed to update my ERL OS.
I hear you loud and clear.

Does Comcast exist anywhere with competition? If so, why?
