O365; OWA: Send as permission
-
Been asked to set up the SEND AS permission for a few accounts. It's been set, and now four hours later the ability is still not there.
From the steps I found on the matter, you start a new email as normal, but then click the MORE ( . . . ) and select SHOW FROM. This should present a drop down with the members.
However, there is a drop down, but no persons.
-
I find that the first time you do this, you have to go the long way and use the global address book and pick the address you want to send from... After you do that the first time, you can do it the short way after that.
-
You can type the different from address.

It will never show up there, you need to add it manually the first time. Also do not setup FUll Mailbox Access with Send As, it causes huge issues.

OWA does not seem to allow for that.

Okay - so stumbled around a bit and found it.
You click on the ( . . . ) go to From Address, then Right click REMOVE. Then you will be able to enter the new address.

What issues have you seen? Full access to someone with SendAs isn't something I'd often configure, but I don't see the technical pitfall of it.

The SendAs will fail to send since Outlook believes the mailbox is already on the Mailbox and will fail to send. This happens because Outlook has the two accounts on the same profile.
