More Final Fantasy PC Releases
-
I just noticed on Steam that Final Fantasy III and FF IV were released in September. And now FF XIII is out. Seems that the FF family is making a push to PC. I am hopeful for some of the older titles, specially IX, X and XII. XII and XIII have been out for PC for a while.

i would be awesome if they filled in the entire series on PC so that you could actually play it rather than needing lots of different platforms to go through them.
I should mention that the online games XI and XIV are both available on PC, I just don't consider them part of the series so hadn't thought to mention them.

@scottalanmiller I loved this series on the NES. But then I went to the Sega ecosystem and then to PC so I never got into the series in the 90's.
I would LOVE to have the entire series to play from the begining

You can skip ahead, the first six have a certain bond between them but there is a pretty much total break when going to FF7. You can jump back in there without losing anything not having played the first ones.
In fact, none of them connect to each other at all, so playing arbitrary members of the series works just fine. The only ones that are connected are obviously connected are named like FFX and FFX-2.

Oh, I realize that. It was one of the biggest points of the franchise. compared to other franchises. But I would love to play them in released order.

I'm trying to do that too, although there are new titles being added in. Like FF4's new sequel that is out on the consoles but not the PC, yet. I've played through the first four in order, waiting on five and six to be available. I bought seven and eight for the PC already. I really hope that nine, ten, ten part two and twelve get released soon, though, because those are the ones that I am most interested in (PSX and PS2 era) as I own them all but didn't get around to playing them on the consoles and would like to play them updated on a PC.
Kinds of hoping that some other classics like Parasite Eve get revamped too.
