On a serious note, it's great to see Zimbra continuing to be developed. I thought it was way ahead of its time and better than OWA 5 years ago, but I have not really used it since that time.

Sadly the new interface that was supposed to be available in 8.8 didn't make it.
-
@scottalanmiller ahhh no, that means they will probably save it for their 9.0 release now.

Yeah, they have talked about it SO little, I'm worried that it is going to be quite some time.

Yet another lesson for me to not wait for things and just install it now.
/sigh

Just do it in Vagrant to see what itβs like.

I just recently started looking into a opensource email server, ran across this post, went to the site and noticed the opensource version does not include AD integration. Bummer.

We don't use AD, take this moment to consider if the answer might be to move away from AD

I have thought about it many times over the years but I have my technological limitations. I am
notconstantly learning between here, SW and my own reading though. One day I may make that breakthrough. -

We moved from AD to Azure AD and then to nothing and really, it's best with nothing for us.
We are hoping that some of the new functionality in SodiumSuite will bridge the gap to make decentralized user control right where we want it to be.

I know you preach SS for PC management - what about user management? Does SS also create local users?
