Dead human bodies are critical to medical training, physicians and researchers say. And thousands of Americans are happy to donate their meat suits for the greater good after they're gone. But in the US, a body’s trip from a morgue to a medical school or lab can be gruesome, shady, and expensive. Some don’t make it at all. Instead, bits and pieces of donated loved ones—sometimes disassembled with chainsaws—end up decomposing in parking lots, forgotten in unplugged freezers, and tossed unceremoniously into incinerators.

So you're saying these large governing bodies, The EU, The UN, The USA recognize these nations - ok so? what does recognition give them? some type of protection? a seat at the negotiation table?
You were talking about thing, now you are asking about something else. I'm not sure where you are trying to take the discussion. The point was that Catalonia is a universally recognized nation.
My ignorance of the situation, and complete inability to correctly articulate my questions are leading you in ways that are not intended.
What good does being recognized do you if those other larger organizations are unwilling to set in to aid you - and what determines when that aid is valid, especially militarily?

It doesn't do any good. The issue is that nations are rarely protected. But there is still a duty to them. A non-sovereign nation is normally a nation held subject to someone by force of military. One of the questions earlier was about them not being a nation because they were conquered, but they are just as much as nation whether they are sovereign or not.

Trump's friend going to prison for a long time.

I expect Trump will be arrested by the end of the year. -

I expect Trump will be arrested by the end of the year. That is not how it works in the U.S.
Also, the charges filed now, are only the tip of the iceberg from what I was hearing. These were filed now because of an upcoming statute of limitations deadline.

I believe it is based around tax evasion.

I expect Trump will be arrested by the end of the year.I doubt both of those. If he's really Trump's friend, he'll be out in no time, and I'm pretty sure the idiot-in-chief will continue to avoid any backlash or arrest for all his wrongdoing.

He pardoned someone before a court date was even set. No doubt he will pardon Manafort as well. Granted acceptance of a pardon would be an acceptance of guilt so it would be an interesting turn of events.

I think youre all wrong. this investigation is just getting started.
No way Shitstain in Chief gets out of this. And yes, his friend was charged with Conspiracy against the US, not just tax evasion. -

And yes, his friend was charged with Conspiracy against the US, not just tax evasion. You're forgetting the most #1 rule of them all: The president/government officials/congressmen/police officers/etc can get away with literally anything they want. There might be a little misdirected backlash later, but the bottom line is they got away with whatever they did and are free to do it again, even when caught red handed. There is no actual punishment for those elite groups.

I'm curious to know why this (NYC) horrible, but much less sever, attack was a terrorist attack, but the far more severe attack in Las Vegas was not a terrorist attack?
The ignorance just completely amazes me, it's unreal.

There is no hard definition for terrorism that is commonly accepted.
But beyond that, the Las Vegas shooting has no known links to existing terrorist groups. This NYC incident apparently does.
In the U.S., terrorism has been defined since 2001 as revolving around known terrorist groups.
Finally, the definition of terrorism in most dictionaries does include this
the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, especially for political purposes.
Has there been an announced motivation for the Las Vegas shooting beyond mental illness?

Severity is not related to terrorism. Terrorism is about goals. Terrorism is about scaring other people outside of the attack, presumably to some end. It’s to enact terror. Just killing people to kill people, rather than to terrorize people, is awful but not terrorism. Terrorism is subjective, any act of terror is heroism to someone else. But just slaughter is simply slaughter.
