I like, especially if it was series that compares with XEN HA and KVM HA in high level overview ofcourse. I found all his vids very easy to watch and learn from, and that is something rare for me especially for I.T videos.

Good point - something covering all the major hypervisors and maybe a little bit about the different types of HA would be helpful too.

There's some more obscure things to consider.
On the VMware front...SMP-FT (what witchcraft is this?)
How are heartbeats done, and is HA managed passively by staged scripts and the hosts, or a central server? (vSphere it's stand alone, works if vCenter down)
Storage HA heartbeats. What are they, and why do they rock? Why can't I use HCI storage for this?
What are fault isolation responses and why do you I need to know this?
Proactive HA. I have a server that is dying, why doesn't stuff move off of it pro-actively?!?
What is Virtual Machine HA, and what are API hooks for application HA?
A good book on HA and DRS by Duncan.

Also how to differentiate between fake HA and real HA. A lot of vendors try to sell you something as HA that is actually an IPOD.

I haven't been told no, but we are short staffed and I seriously doubt I'm going to be able to go. I am going to be there for the stream though.

Technically you have all that you want, he can't afford to get rid of you. And you don't want to stay, so you have ALL of the leverage. Literally, all of it. He has everything to lose and you've got nothing on the line. You hold all of the cards. And it is not days off, he can still email you and ask you things, you are doing company training that helps him, etc.

But chances are, he "doesn't want that" less than his boss wants to "lose his company because he can't fulfill his contractual obligations."
