ReadyNAS ReadyCLOUD usage
-
When I first picked up the ReadyNAS - I was able to turn on and use ReadyCLOUD within my network. It was rather nice to be able to access and shift files around between my iOS device and the NAS.
Now of course you can't do that unless you have a ReadyCLOUD account.
I don't want/ need a ReadyCLOUD / Netgear account. I shouldn't have to sign up online for something that I only want / need / plan to use within my own network.
Is anyone using the ReadyCLOUD feature? And if so, are you using it with/out the ReadyCLOUD account?

Why would you expect a cloud service to work without authentication? Internal only or not.

As I said - It worked prior to the subsequent update to the ReadyOS - So, it was available and now it is not.
You buy a car with Power windows - when you take it in for an oil change, and they remove the power windows, you'd want them back would you not? - I mean - it CAME that way..

Horrible analogy and you did not answer my question.

Why would I expect it to work with out 'auth'
It worked out of the box, I enabled it on the ReadyNAS, installed the iOS app, and connected.
After the update(s) - now it forces you to sign into NETGEAR - ....

I am not arguing that it did work.
