Mmmm.... vegemite.
-
Looks nasty.
-
Honestly i am curious about "vegemite" haven't seen that yet
-
You might be able to find it there. Popular in Australia.
-
Is it sour? Bitter? Sweet? how do you describe the taste?
-
Toast + butter + Vegemite = win
It's not jam or peanut butter so don't put it on as such if you've never had it before. If you do, it'll knock your socks off.
As to the taste, it's not sweet. It's savoury.
As to Marmite and the other knock-offs... I detest them immeasurably.

You should look around, I bet that you can find it there.

I describe the taste to people as solidified soy sauce. Very salty, and has lots of umami (savory meat-tasting).
If you do end up trying it, the trick is to spread it thinly, rather than like jam.
I've only met one person in my life who has liked it who didn't grow up eating it.

You Aussies and your weird foods.

Marmite is delicious. I regularly have it on toast for breakfast. Never tried vegemite.
-
Twiglets are also ace!

It's like Coke vs Pepsi - same kind of food, but slight differences in flavor that can be detected.

How do you think Coke and Pepsi taste ANYTHING alike? They are totally different. Pepsi is definitely the sweeter of the two. Coke is a bit more bold, which is why I prefer it, although I'll gladly drink either given the chance. Applebee's has Pepsi but Denny's has Coke. I know these things...don't judge me!

What @PSX_Defector is to beer, I am to soda.
