Going to RMA a second dsl modem later today.
Different brand, different issues.I am now seriously considering the ERX, AP lite and a separate dsl modem.
What's stopping you from just pulling the trigger?
A few things.
1). Mrs nadnerB isn't keen on having three devices for Internet access
2). it's a fair bit more expensive to go that route (I need VDSL as that's the
3). I'm not 100% sure if I'll get a choice of warranty swap or refund....
blah blah blah
...
Hmmmm, I might be able to work this using my current modem router as just a modem....
back to the drawing board to re-evaluate and await the RMA resultsNow you've lost me - why would Mrs Nader see anything more than the AP? The test should be hiding in a closet somewhere.
Coz we turn everything off when we aren't using it.
I know the AP is PoE but it's something else that has to boot.Put it on a power strip.. all three things turn off by one button.
Still have to wait for all three of them to boot.
(notice there is a 'B' in nadnerB, Dashrende )Anyhoo, that and all the other previously said stuff is why I haven't gone that route previously.
Don't they boot in parallel?
Yes, but it's entirely my issue for not taking the time to go through it with Mrs nadnerB

Here is a new one for me. "Codes our DB". Like.... he writes the actual database code itself, instead of using SQL Server?

So, just found out my lab Dell 2950 server wont support Hyper-V 2016 because it doesn't' have SLAT processors:
"Hyper-V in the vNext version of Windows Server will only work on processors with (SLAT) Secondary Level Address Translation which is also known as (EPT) Extended Page Table for Intel processors. If you have older servers with processors that do not support SLAT, you will need to use Windows Server 2012 R2. This version of Hyper-V does not require SLAT support in the processor."
