Anyone have the Yealink W5xP line
-
I've deployed about 5-6 of these units. Some with multiple handsets (up to 3) They do relatively well in open areas. Going through concrete walls is terrible as expected, but they do offer repeaters as well.
The only problem I am having recently is with one unit losing connection, as we are discussing in the other thread. Other than that, my experience has been that "they just work" once configured properly. I want to test out the new 56P model though. I also want to test out the new Grandstream DECT line as well. (the 750/720 I believe) They are newer, so I'll probably wait a couple firmware releases first.
What have you been putting in clients in the past for cordless?

This is the first time any have asked for cordless, and then actually followed through with wanting to purchase.
Can you setup a BLF or speed dial on these? This client uses direct parking and on a desk phone I use a BLF to the appropriate EXT to park and pick up a parked call.

Speed dial yes, and blf, I'm not sure. Never had the need. I'll get some screen shots tomorrow of the interface and post them here

We have a 52 in the office here and we've deployed a few at client locations. They do work well, although initial setup isn't entirely intuitive. We barely use ours, but have not had any issues. I also can't speak about BLF.

Well log into the GUI and see what is says for DSS keys.

Any idea where I would see that? I can't find anything related to DSS keys.

That would be an answer itself.

Normally it is a main tab.

Found this: says it applies to the W52P units.

Right and the setting is listed but no idea how that applies to a key..
transfer.dsskey_deal_type =
When a DSS key is set to a BLF as in my picture above, and that setting is set to 2 (defualt BTW) everything works wonderfully on a T4X series phone.

equivalent GUI settings.
