By default, a topic you start you are automatically set to follow.

Or just change the setting so you get one per day instead of one each time someone replies to a thread you're watching.

I found that I wasn't receiving emails either. Didn't really look in to it. Just thought none came through.
Yesterday I started getting the emails. Seems as tho that resolved alot more than just your issue!

I hate email notifications. so i have that all turned off.
I do too, but Jared and I both keep the site open and keep watching it all the time, so getting emails is unnecessary for us as we know that there is something happening on the site faster than email would tell us anyway.
