Directly outside of my office, on street level, is a gas company jackhammering the road. The sound is deafening. I'm annoyed, but cant help but be thankful for my career in tech....as opposed to jack hammering. Nothing wrong with that...but just saying I'm thankful.

We've got an old industrial plant being torn down beside us as of this morning to put in a new Aldi. Probably got a good few months of this noise to look forward to.

Hearing protection only goes so far.

Hearing protection is worth a ton of money. I'm not even kidding. 15 minutes of listening to jackhammering can cause damage that never heals.

Buying ear plugs for a meager $1-2 will/does prevent that damage.

Preventing hearing damage where possible is a good idea. Take it from someone who knows, lol.

                              Some of that damage.
