Remmina, the RDP Client for Linux
-
Remmina has been around for while .. I last used it around 3 years ago, and thought it had some nice features, I did face some performance issues back then ... word has it that the newer version has improved ...
Does Remmina still use FreeRDP as the core ?

This is the first time I've been familiar with something you aren't. I think I'm going to have a drink tonight to celebrate

So glad that they finally release and update for this. Now I am able to use a rdp gateway server. Before I wasn't able to and I had to use xfreerdp which kicked me out of my sessions a lot. Remmina seems more reliable.

Yeah, this seems to have improved a bit since I first started using it a while ago. It seemed clunky but now "just works" for me.

It's still not click & run if you download an RDP file for a RemoteApp, though. They have to be imported, and some settings copied in by hand. It's aggravating, but still do able.

That seems silly.

Probably because it's part of the bleeding edge stuff, lol. But I've got a few Linux users running the Cisco Jabber client with it. Works great!

Remmina is a great tool. I've had excellent luck with it.
