These guys are really on top of releases. Their release cycle and feature improvements have been impressive the past few months.
-
Those are some nice new features!
-
I plan on buying an ER-X and UAP for home. I see lots of great stuff about these on ML.

They are really amazingly good units.
-
They really are, and outperform every other router I have ever used.
-
But ill just create a flat network. No VLAN's for now. I read someones post having a hell of a time trying to learn/setup a VLAN.

Not many cases that you would want them anyway, unless your goal is just to learn VLANing.
-
Maybe ill wait for a How To Setup a VLAN on ML:-)
-
@alex.olynyk vendor specific process though. Or do you mean for Ubiquiti stuff?

That is because he had no idea what he was doing and was starting in the middle and refused to use the GUI wizard.
Also, he supposedly had the VLAN setup on the ERL. He was having problem with tagging on the switch and passing traffic. All of those have nothing to do with VLAN directly.

Yeah I remember now

@wirestyle22 I didnt know it was vendor specific. But yes for Ubiquiti stuff would be great
-
@alex.olynyk It's vendor specific because they all use their own GUI's so the step by step process is going to be different. It can be different for the exact same product too if you don't update the firmware to the most recent update, which I think was part of the reason you were running into issues
-
@wirestyle22 it wasnt me having the issues, i was following the thread.

That's the most common use of them in the wild
