Recently added a new AP to our wireless network (a WNDAP360) with controller Netgear WC7520. I've added the AP to NPS via our DC, and I'm receiving no NPS complaints about the AP from the DC side of things.

On my test client (which works with other AP's without issue) Im unable to authenticate. Network diagnostics has reported an EAP issue and to contact the network administrator to address the issue.

Any pointers in trying to figure out why this AP isn't working, when the rest are would be great.

      Thank you

        Can you ping the AP?
Can you SSH into the AP?

I can ping the AP, and the controller is able to see the AP without issue.

The SSID's for the wireless are vLAN'd apart, one for guest and the other for the office. The guest network works fine (or as expected). Only the work network has connection issues.

No SSH is required for the AP's and they receive all of their settings from the controller.

So both previous and new AP are on the controller, no issues with the previous AP with the 'Work' network.

is the AP current on it's versions? And no issues with defaulting the new AP and re adopting it?

Correct, all of the existing APs work fine with both Work and Guest networks.

Trying to confirm the version now (although the version is also controlled by the AP controller) and updated to match.

Port 11 is currently off (I didn't want people to be stuck with no WiFi at all)

The new AP matches (identically except for the IP address) that of the other AP's.

Have you humored yourself and retyped the shared secret in notepad & then copy / pasted into the shared secret box?

@dafyre I've copied the shared secret from the other AP, clicking on Generate will show the existing key.

Anything else I might be forgetting? For some reason I feel as if somewhere on the NPS server I had to authorize the IP address of the NPS client (AP) outside of what is shown here.

So to compound this issue further, putting this AP in the place of another, all works without issue.

I'm going to put the swapped unit in place where I pulled this one from and see what happens. But what I find extremely odd is that the guest network works flawlessly in the conference room where the AP was pulled from. And on the AP that I assumed was having issues....

Stupid Fing wireless AP giving me a hard time for nothing....

I swapped the AP's from the two areas, "the one that had issues", came up and worked, no changes.

Put the other in place of the one with issues and it works without any changes.

                                What the heck...
