@FATeknollogee Great question! This is going to sound cheesy, but our tagline is "It's All About Connections...", but that doesn't just cover technical "connections"; we want to develop relationships with our clients, something that we feel a lot of the "other guys" don't do. We specialize in IT solutions for small-to-medium sized businesses. We do have enterprise-level clients, but our bread-and-butter is in helping our clients grow and grow with them. You grow, we grow, and the better we can help our clients.

We also want to connect with the communities of the businesses that we serve. In our home base in LA, we sponsor numerous STEM-education related programs, including our own STEM Grant that we awarded to various student and youth programs in the Los Angeles area.

We pride ourselves on developing those personal relationships and providing IT solutions to our clients by offering top-notch services at an affordable price.

Tl;dr: We're dope and want to help your business to dope stuff too 🙂

        Paging @ChrisL

In So. Cal., why should one consider/choose http://www.colocationamerica.com/data-center vs Quadranet/Corp Colo/Psychz?

When you're NTG, and they throw you a free year. Great way for a colo to get considered, especially with the publicity generated by doing so.

They have spent a decent amount of time recruiting us as people not just the company. They really are all about the relationship.

I'm cynical enough to believe that may not be the case for their non-flagship customers. They have tons of good reasons for kissing NTG's asses, they may or may not have as many reasons for BobCo that rents 2U in a rack. Not to mention that pre-sale service is always better than post-sale (i.e., you're signed into a contract and they already have your money).

So the question remains.... for a regular, small-time, nondescript, everyday customer, why should one consider Colo America vs. the competition?

Tier 1 with no redundancy? That is unusual...

What do you mean? What else would no redundancy be other than the bottom tier? I'm unclear what you are implying.

Our standard, base-level 1U server comes with 2 Amp 120 V power, 5TB of bandwidth and starts at $75. Quadranet's is 1 Amp 120V, and 300GB of bandwidth and starts at $79. Their single servers don't even go to 5TB bandwidth (+$10 to get an additional 500GB, 800GB total), and to add the extra 1 Amp, it's +$35.

That's why, the regular, small-time, nondescript, everyday customer with a small-business budget should come to Colocation America--value for your dollar.

Plus, we have a cool mascot.

Lots of SMBs want to use 2U rack units, what is the pricing for the same setup but with the extra space? 2U servers tend to be far better balanced for SMB storage needs.

                              2. Half-Rack starts at $699 with 20TB bandwidth, 20 Amps 120V, and /16 IP range. Full rack starts at $999, 20 Amps, 30TB bandwidth, and /27 IP. Both come with a 100Mbps dedicated connection

Honestly, I see a spear phishing campaign and social engineering all bundled with very attractive pricing as extra bait.

This is a 16 year old company so not new on the block by any means....

They have 22 data centers in 8 Major citys. They have a major amount of people on their team both administrative, marketing and technical (believe me I have talked to MANY of them at this point). This is not a questionable company guys.
