I have planned to buy phone online.I have choosed Redmi 2 for buying.I have tried to buy online through EMI scheme with the Debit Card, but the real world does not support debit card, they try to support Credit Card Holders for buying an device online?
Why the online purchasing websites not ready to make debit card for buying the devices for the customers???
I have tried many sites to order but no luck for the debit cards!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Lakshmana What I would recommend is an online payment partner like PayPal to manage your online transactions (if you have it)

Putting in debit / credit card details directly to a rather unknown website is far to risky.

I'm less concerned about putting a CC into a website, but a debt card - well, even that is probably fine as long as you don't use the PIN, but personally I don't believe in debt cards because there are no protections on those accounts.

As for why they don't allow you to use a debit card, probably because if there is a need to charge you more money for some reason, there is a good chance they won't be able to. Not really sure why this is different with a CC, you could just as easily be near your credit limit on a CC which would prevent them from charging more if they felt it was appropriate.

You all need to realize that he specifically mentioned debit and not credit card.

This means a debit card only, not your typical American debit card with a CC logo on it meaning that it can be used as a CC also.

Well if that's the case, that's the reason right there. If the Debt Card is a Debt only, and can't be treated as a CC, then I'm guessing the vendors don't want to worry themeselves about transmitting your PIN in a safe manner, etc. That's a huge amount of risk for them.

Try to get a real credit card from your bank. Or perhaps buy a prepaid one. Debit card is a big no-no. Never use it for any purchases whatsoever. Not online, not in stores. If crooks get a hold of your debit card, they have direct access to your money. And getting fraudulent charges reversed is a real pain. With credit cards, you don't deal with money directly, and most card issuers will correct fraudulent charges without asking any questions.

You need a debit card supported as a payment method. Debit cards are not standard and cannot be processed in that way. All of us in the US are able to do it because our debit cards are backed by credit card companies.
