Considering you can't buy the components in there for double the price you did well!
Very curious to see how it runs though. I apologize, but I bet it's a turd.
-
hmmm looks interesting. See it for £100 odd over here.

Alot of amazon reviewers say the speed is good. You can't play any serious games on Windows of course, but for browsing, and productivity style apps its supposed to be pretty quick.

Interesting, we might try this in my office...
Thanks.I would imagine it's home edition.
Could upgrade it to windows 10 pro by just changing the key.. But this does have an Atom so it might suck for anything much..

Interesting. Let us know how you end up liking it and if it is actually useful at all.
Think we could deploy these to the NTG Staff?
-
It is a consideration. But only for those who actually leave their desks.

I haven't booted into android yet because windows 10 is running great.
-
@Dashrender I did find out that android does come with the google playstore. so that is a big plus.
-
google chrome with all my extensions is sucking memory, but its running fast.

Uh - I do leave my desk sometimes... I could use it on the Walking trail...

Looks like you can also work directly in Linux:

Interesting. We have one of the little Dell W8.1 Atom tablets, looks to be about the same size, but we had a hard time coming up for a use case for it. It got passed around the department like a $3 hooker and now nobody wants to touch it. I gave it the nickname Satan's Tablet because everyone who tried it seems to be cursed by bizarre issues. It has since been cast into the Intern's Drawer of Tartarus, which cannot be opened for 1,000 years, at which point it will be let free to plague humanity. On the upside, its Windows Updates should be finished right around that time.
Anyway, maybe THIS $99 Windows tablet would be
differentbetterusablenot haunted?
