      When I share a link with an external user the field still populates with the internal address of the server so they wont be able to access it. How do I make it populate with the external address.

        Subjects with the same name are a bit confusing.....

          You never should have setup your server with only an IP address.

          Go back and fix that and it will work just fine.

          I posted my config in your other thread, go look at how mine is setup.

            Owncloud only know the name that you give it. You need to configure the hostname, or external name, in the setting. You may even have to do it in the apache/nginx settings.

              Yes, you need to use a FQDN, then make sure port forwarding is working correctly 🙂

                He does need the FQDN, but it sounds like he has that ready.

                His problem is that the links the server gives out is not the FQDN.

                That is handled in the config.
