This is a really big deal. ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus is now completely free. This just happened in the last few days. Both the regular ServiceDesk Plus and the MSP version seem to be free. The announcement is so recent that it is not on their own website yet but news outlets have been reporting it a bit and there is a discussion going on on Reddit comparing it to other free or semi-free offerings. That they have an MSP version is a huge deal. And this is completely free, no ads. And, even better, it deploys on Linux!

@ajstringham I am excited to see it running on Linux and see how it compares to MS CRM. Could easily be a much better option.

@scottalanmiller Is it a CRM or a ticketing solution? I know Dynamics is a CRM but it's more for sales than helpdesk. Unitrends uses Salesforce for everything but I'm not sure how I feel about it for ticketing...

@ajstringham The one thing that we've been discussing and that this thread is about.

Ok, got it. In that case, if it's free, would that be worth looking at as an alternative to using Dynamics as a helpdesk AND CRM?

I think as a CRM Dynamics is awesome. As a helpdesk, eh, it's so-so.

                        It's not a CRM.

Awesome, glad you found the video. I heard that they are giving away over nine figures (that's more than one hundred million dollars US) in revenue to do this!! That it is completely free, unlimited, no adds, enterprise, secure and runs on Linux are all huge.

For a lot of them. There hasn't been any product like this for free before. Very big deal.
